Ok, so this won’t be vegan (sorry vegans), but… thank you to fast food giant Burger King for at least trying to take those of us who don’t eat meat into consideration. Burger King has a veggie burger meal!
Burger King uses a Morningstar Farms Garden Veggie patty and puts it on the same sesame seed buns they use for their Whopper Jr sandwiches. The burgers come with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mayonnaise on them. You can always customize the burger and leave things off (I hate tomatoes, onions, and ketchup) if you like. They come with either fries, onion rings, or a side salad and a drink if you get the combo. PETA lists BK’s french fries as being vegan along with some other items such as the French Toast sticks, Dutch apple pie, Garden Side Salad (tell them to hold the cheese, because it does have cheese on it, or at least the ones at my local BKs do), and other items. Just be aware that any of the fried vegan foods might be sharing fryers with non-vegan items.
Morningstar Farms burger patties are not vegan, so you do not want to order this if you’re vegan. The buns are vegan however, so you can put veggies on a bun by themselves with ketchup and mustard if you’re looking for a vegan meal.
The fun part is finding it on the menu. It won’t be found with the regular combos – you’ll need to find the section of the menu that says “salads and more” to find this tasty little gem.
